A quick note on how we work, because it's the reason our photographs and films look and feel the way they do.

We don't run your day or stage it. Most of what we capture is what actually happens: the people you invited, how they are with each other, everything you were too busy to notice. Around that there are a few moments, like the getting ready and the portraits of you two, where we step in, direct a little and make something more deliberate.

The films are built on your voices. During the weekend we record conversations with you both, and those recordings, together with your vows and the speeches of the people closest to you, become the structure of the film. The images are edited to serve that story, so it has a beginning, a build and a payoff, told in your own words.

Visually, photo and film are shot with the same eye. Analogue cameras alongside digital, focused on the energy of the day, so that what you receive looks as good in 30 years' time as it does the first time you see it.

The result works on two levels. Images strong enough to stand on their own, and a story underneath that gives them meaning. One pulls you in, the other stays with you for the rest of your lives.
